Bracelet Honors America's Military Men and Women

Americans can now join the nation's largest combat veterans organization in honoring the millions of military members who have, or are fighting, to preserve our freedoms and liberties at home and abroad.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars "America Bands Together" patriotic program is expected to unite millions of Americans in publicly displaying their support of America's men and women in uniform by wearing the VFW's new commemorative bracelet.  The wristband, engraved with the words "I Support Our Troops," is blood red, which symbolizes the sacrifices of all the nation's veterans who have helped keep America free.

The VFW assists all veterans and their families obtain veterans' entitlements and other services.  In addition, the organization works for the well being of those serving on active duty, in the National Guard and the reserves.  The VFW was founded in 1899.  There are 2.6 million members of the VFW and its Auxiliaries located in approximately 9,000 Posts worldwide.

The bands, which are available from the Elkhart VFW Post 3162 Ladies Auxiliary, will help fund VFW support and morale-boosting programs for veterans, military service members and their families.
